What Does the First Session Look Like?

A gentle answer for anyone beginning therapy for the first time and wondering what happens after they reach out.

The first session is a conversation: warm, unhurried, and entirely led by your comfort.

There is no script, no pressure to have the perfect words, and no expectation that you arrive with everything figured out. Many people come to their first session simply knowing that something feels off, or that they want more from life than they currently have. That is more than enough.

We take time to understand who you are, what has brought you here, and what you are hoping for. You will also have space to ask your own questions and get a sense of how Rashmi works.

Think of it as two people getting to know each other and developing a shared intention.

By the end, you will have a clearer sense of the journey ahead and whether this feels like the right space for you. A good therapeutic relationship is built on safety, honesty, and the feeling that you can be heard without judgment.
